Ikea is coming out with a collection of baskets, rugs, cushion covers, and other home furnishings designed by artisans in India, Bangladesh, and Jordan. The items are all woven, braided, or embroidered by hand.

The new 17-piece Mävinn collection—which launches with a release in September and another in December—was produced as part of Ikea’s social entrepreneurship efforts, which the company says help it source one-of-a-kind designs, support local jobs, and create a positive impact around the world. It’s the second collection in the Ikea Mävinn series following its launch last year.

“By collaborating and cocreating with our partners, we have bridged their craftsmanship with our way of designing to utilize their skills in the best way, while creating products full of character and each with their own expression,” said Paulin Machado, a designer at Ikea. “As a designer, I’m proud to work with a project that helps women grow as skilled professionals and enables families and communities to reach financial independence.”

The collection includes a $30 rug in the shape of a flower manufactured by Classical Handmade Products in Bangladesh, striped braided storage baskets, and a $30 handwoven bedspread from Rangsutra in India. Cat lovers will be drawn to the $7 black hand-embroidered cat face pouch and $20 cat cushion cover. The Mävinn basket has cat ears, and in promotional materials it’s used as a cat basket.
